Our people win ¼ of Business Travel People awards.

Business Travel People Awards 2022 winners

Our incredible people from across the business have been recognised at one of the industry’s most prestigious awards, The Business Travel People Awards, winning a record four categories:

  • Meetings and Events Team

  • Business Transformation Initiative (for our Marketing Team’s rebrand)

  • Change Champion Leader (won by Dana Moore, Proposition Delivery Manager – Sustainability Lead)

  • Rising Star (won by Georgia Suttie, Venue Find Operations Manager)

Our customer, Eloise Ferrara-Neched, Procurement Manager at Royal Mail Group, also received the ‘Highly Commended’ award for the Travel Buyer of the Year category.

These well-established awards have been recognising the outstanding individuals and teams within business travel for over a decade. The winners were announced at the live ceremony, held on 13 September at Leonardo Royal London City.

Leigh Cowlishaw, Judges Chair for The Business Travel People Awards, said: “Our people continue to inspire and underpin the recovery of our industry as it continues to face and overcome new challenges and embrace new opportunities. Whilst we continue to see technology evolve and automation increase, we all know this is the enabler, but our people are the catalyst”.

Our Venue Find Operations Manager, Georgia Suttie, jointly-won the Rising Star category for her enthusiasm, passion for the industry and the difference she makes. As a result, Georgia will be one of the first official Business Travel Ambassadors in a new campaign spearheaded by The Business Travel Magazine and supported by the BTA, GBTA and ITM. Speaking about this category, Bev Fearis, Editor of The Business Travel Magazine, commented: “At a time when our industry is working hard to attract new talent, we felt they were all excellent examples of everything that’s great about working in our sector and all 100% deserved to be named as Rising Stars”.

Our Meetings and Events team stood out to the judges for the way they had adapted and innovated, particularly focusing on sustainable solutions. On the other hand, the judges were impressed with how our five-person Marketing Team rebranded the company to ‘Agiito’ with a limited budget, tight timeframe and minimal resources – all during the toughest year our industry faced.

Our ‘Change Champion’, Dana Moore, was praised for the way she has led several propositions that have significantly changed our business, and impacted customers, suppliers and wider industry – all with sustainability and business continuity in mind.

James Parkhouse, CEO of Agiito, said: “I am so proud that all the great work we do is being recognised at prestigious industry events such as these. It is great to not only be leading the way with the sheer amount we have won – almost a quarter of the available awards - in one night, but that the recognition is spread across so many parts of the business”.
