As we see an increase of customers returning to travel in 2021 and 2022, we are helping and guiding our customers by running a series of workshops and webinars.
More recently, our in-house events team and ‘return to travel & meetings’ working group hosted a live ‘Return of Business Travel & Meetings’ customer seminar. This was delivered via our virtual events platform to give our customers best practice guidance, Q&A discussions and insights from industry-leading suppliers across air, hotels, ground transportation, rail and venues.
40 customers registered across a range of sectors, from banking to infrastructure, to hear industry intelligence and travel predictions from British Airways, Jurys Inn, CMAC, LNER and Lime Venues. From highlighting lead-time recommendations, the current booking and catering trends and the safety measures that are here to stay, the sessions gave customers a sense of what their travellers can expect.
We shared survey results to support customers compare and benchmark their approaches and activity. Experts from across Agiito also covered our technology roadmap, how we our helping our customers connect, and our sustainability and wellbeing initiatives that could support overall customer programmes.
Many customers took away shared insights and opportunities for potential collaboration with suppliers on mutual targets. We have already received great feedback, with one customer stating: “it was one of the most engaging and informative seminars I have attended for a while!” and another commenting how “it was very interesting to hear from different business areas and of course from everyone at Agiito.”
Equally, our partners also appreciated “the views from the different travel partners” so we can all continue to work together to positively impact the industry.
Hosted by Leanne Fowler, Director of Account Management at Agiito, she explained the first webinar’s success: “There was clearly a sense of honesty throughout and to highlight how important the collaboration across the sector is as the industry gets back on track. The fact that our recent survey found over 55% of our respondents are seeing substantial travel already and expecting a significant return to travel in the last quarter of 2021 shows there is the demand, and we want our customers to feel prepared and confident.
“Whilst we are all facing challenges, as a result of Covid and Brexit, the feedback so far suggests that our customers took away valuable insights and appreciated the support to manage their travellers’ expectations by working together."
