Our meetings and events specialist, Sharon Bannister, has joined the mia’s (Meetings Industry Association’s) Event Taskforce.
Sharon, who also represents Agiito as the MICE chair at the Business Travel Association (BTA), joins the mia after being invited onto their Event Taskforce to support mia’s strategy and their efforts to promote best practice within the industry.
Sharon brings her 20 years’ experience in the travel, meetings and events arena to become one of the three agency representatives on the six-member committee.
“The demand for meetings and events is rapidly increasing as the year progresses and I’m honoured to join the taskforce to support the mia’s efforts to drive the industry forward. I’m delighted to be able to support from my position as an intermediary to share the insight and views of our MICE customers, which I know is so valuable to venues and supports the mia in their mission to bring agents and venues together. We have the upcoming Connect Day later this month, which promises to be another great event packed full of content and networking opportunities. It is an exciting time to be building business relationships and re-connecting again.”
Sharon will deliver a panel discussion alongside other agency and venue members at the upcoming mia Connect Day on 24 March at Alton Towers.
